 Situated at the centre of the Central North, on the North - South and East - West routes, Nghe An is a hub of all traffic types: road, railway, airway, sea way and inland waterway; be a linking bridge between the North and the South of Vietnam and a gateway to the East Sea of the Central of Laos and the North East of Thai Land through Cua Lo seaport.

Nghe An has 19 districts, city and town and Vinh City is the political, economic and cultural centre of the province. Nghe An has the natural area of 16,487 km2 - the largest province of the whole country, with diversified topography and natural conditions; it has sea, plain and mountainous land; abundant mineral reserve; large area of forest with high coverage degree; long coastline and large sea

 

surface. Nghe An is rich for the development of processing industry, hydroelectricity, forest and sea economy. Being the homeland of President Ho Chi Minh - A World Cultural Man, a starting point of the "Heritage Road of the Central", with many beautiful beaches, Western Nghe An Biosphere Reserve Zone with primary forests and attractive ecological zones… Nghe An possesses the potentialities to become a key tourism position of the country and of the region. With the population of over 3.1 million people and local people's traditional fondness of learning, industriousness and creativity, Nghe An is the hub providing plentiful and qualified human resources for investment and development and acts as a big market of goods and services...


Nghe An is given special priorities by the Party and Government in the socio-economic development strategy of the whole country. The Politburo of Vietnam Central Communist Party Executive Board published the Conclusion No. 20-KL/TW of June 2nd, 2003 defining Nghe An province to be the economic and cultural centre of the Central North. The Prime Minister has promulgated the Decision No 147/2005/QÑ-TTg of June 15th, 2005 approving the plan "Socio-economic development of Western part of Nghe An to the year 2010"; the Decision No. 239/2005/QÑù-TTg of September 30th, 2005 approving the plan to develop Vinh city to become the economic and cultural centre of the Central North; especially the Decision No. 85/2007/QÑù-TTg of June 11th, 2007 on the establishment of Nghe An South East Economic Zone with the area of over 18,000 ha, covering 18 communes of Nghi Loc, Dien Chau districts and Cua Lo town.


To grasp thoroughly the policy of making in use all resources and to think highly of the effectiveness of external forces, Nghe An has promulgated many investment incentive and supportive policies and speeded up administrative reforms in order to create the most favorable conditions for local and foreign investors.


With all convenient natural and social conditions; the attention of the Party and the State and the determination of the provice Party Committee, authorities of all levels and the whole people, Nghe An province - Viet Nam deserves to be a Destination for Investors.
